The Distance Between Where You Are and Where You Long to Be.

Some distances are small, some are big; some distances are measured by miles, and some by hopes and fears. Through opera, musical theater, and popular songs, Cantanti Project goes on a musical journey about the excitement of new adventures, the strength it takes to pursue your dreams, and the importance of finding a place where you belong. Presented by the United Palace of Cultural Arts as part of their Lobby Series as part of the Uptown Arts Stroll organized by the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance.

A Strauss Celebration: 150 Years

Project 1

Prompted by the 150th anniversary of Richard Strauss' birth, Cantanti Project's first project was an all-Strauss concert of lieder and opera selections from ArabellaAriadne auf Naxos, and Der Rosenkavalier. True to the spirit of Cantanti Project, the concert was singer-conceived, singer-produced, and singer-organized, with repertoire shaped by singer suggestions and finalized with the intention of featuring each performer as a soloist and ensemble member.
