Mezzo Brittany Fowler and Soprano Rebecca Richardson sing "Unbound Identities" - a recital project exploring the concept of identify across time and across borders, with pianist Jennifer Peterson.

"How do we navigate identity, both personal and national, during times of war and shifting borders? How does that manifest in the art we produce? With these works, I seek to explore how different artists have responded or navigated the political and social upheavals of the early 20th century, from the Russian Revolution through World War I and World War II and how they’ve wrestled with their identities during times of shifting borders and alliances." - Brittany Fowler, "Borders, dentity, n a"

"I love navigating the context within which a piece of music is written and investigating the creative process behind merging music and poetry. This process is what ultimately led me to this recital program in particular—three composers (two of which are unfortunately lesser known despite their gorgeous musical output) who hearken back to poets of the past, specifically poets and text from the medieval period and early Renaissance. " - Rebecca Richardson, "Poets of the Past"
